The Hollywood Reporter announced today that Kate Winslet is among the recipients of a Hollywood Walk Of Fame star in 2012. Winslet has earned her spot on the legendary sidewalk after winning Best Actress in 2009 for The Reader.

Also receiving a star: Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Lopez, Vin Diesel, Valerie Bertinelli, Patricia Heaton and Ryan Seacrest‘s radio co-host, Ellen K. Events for each ceremony have not yet been scheduled.

Kate Winslet is set to star in Labor Day, Deadline reports.

The 35-year-old British actress “will play a single mother of a young son who takes in a stranger with a dangerous past. She falls in love with him over the course of Labor Day Weekend,� according to the site.

The flick will be a big screen adaptation of the Joyce Maynard novel, with Jason Reitman as director and screenwriter.

Kate recently wrapped up production on her other projects, Contagion and Carnage.

“They want to keep it looking like me and not have it look like me pretending to be a model wearing these clothes,” said Winslet of the concept. “I’m obviously not a model. I’m not the size of a model. I don’t have the face of a model or the shape of a model.”

Kate Winslet has sparked rumours of a reconciliation with her model boyfriend Louis Dowler after they were spotted together over the weekend (28-29May11).

The Oscar-winning actress began dating the handsome hunk last year (10) following her split from husband Sam Mendes, but they reportedly went their separate ways in November (11) after just four months of dating.

However, Winslet and Dowler are now said to be back together after they were seen driving through Woodstock, New York on Sunday (29May11), according to the New York Post’s Page Six column.
