Kate Winslet will honour famed photographer Mario Testino at an upcoming gala in New York marking his stellar 30-year career.

The legendary snapper will be the focus of this year’s (11) El Museo del Barrio Gala and he will receive a lifetime artistic achievement award during the festivities.

Winslet, who has been photographed by Testino several times over the years, will step up to hand the Peruvian photographer a special silver plate inscribed with the names of 30 of his close friends, who will be at the event.

The famous names will include Demi Moore, Julia Roberts, Charlize Theron and Blake Lively, according to New York Post column Page Six.

The event will be held in Manhattan on 26 May.
